Iron ore mining and crushing are key links in the metallurgical industry, and their technological processes and equipment selection directly affect the iron concentrate extraction efficiency and the economic benefits of enterprises. Iron ore crushing usually adopts a "three-stage one-closed-circuit" process, including coarse crushing, medium crushing, fine crushing and screening closed-circuit systems.
In the process of equipment selection, four key factors need to be focused on:
first, material characteristics are the core basis, including hardness, particle size and water content. Iron ore has high hardness, so equipment with a compressive strength of ≥150MPa should be selected;
second, the production capacity needs to match the ore mining volume and production demand. For example, the single-cylinder cone crusher has a processing capacity of 27-1050t/h, which is suitable for large-scale mines;
third, economic analysis needs to balance the purchase cost and operation cost. For example, although the initial investment of the cone crusher is high, its long service life of wear parts and low energy consumption result in lower long-term operation cost;
finally, the requirements for environmental protection and safety are becoming increasingly strict. The equipment must comply with the 2026 "Emission Standard of Noise at Boundary of Industrial Enterprises" and "Comprehensive Emission Standard of Atmospheric Pollutants", and priority should be given to models with closed structure and low-noise design.
For mines of different scales, the selection strategy should also be different: large-scale mines should adopt the combination of jaw crusher and cone crusher to achieve efficient and stable crushing; small-scale concentrators can consider the fine jaw crusher scheme to reduce the initial investment. At the same time, it is recommended to select equipment with intelligent control systems (such as automatic discharge port adjustment and remote monitoring) and ISO certification, such as products from enterprises like Liming Heavy Industry, to improve production efficiency and equipment reliability.
